Beginners Calligraphy

During this introduction to calligraphy, learn all the basics of pointed pen calligraphy in a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere. We will focus on the lowercase alphabet and I will provide you with all the supplies you'll need to continue your studies at home. Students will receive a helpful set of instructional handouts for this three hour class. 

Each student will receive:

• Oblique pen holder

• Nibs

• Ink

• Dinky dips set

• Ink dropper

• Practice paper

• Pencil

• Exemplar 

• Other fun surprises

Intermediate Calligraphy 

In this mid level level class, we will focus on writing capital letters. We will also have fun experimenting with colored and metallic inks. Plus, you will leave with the materials needed to take your calligraphy off the practice sheets and on to a useful project!

Some prior calligraphy experience recommended. Please bring the materials you received at the introduction class. If you took calligraphy elsewhere, a suggested materials list can be provided.

Each student will receive:

• Practice paper

• Colored ink

• Metallic ink

• Dropper

• Nibs

• Materials for project

• Mixing container

Brush Lettering 

This class will be an afternoon of colorful fun as we learn calligraphy letterforms with brush markers and watercolors! No experience is required and all materials will be provided. You will be able to take all your materials home with you to continue your practice! This class is also perfect for students with prior calligraphy experience, but would like to learn how to use a different medium for their lettering. 

Each student will receive:

• Exemplar and guidelines

• Practice paper

• 2 brush markers

• 1 aqua brush

• 1 set of watercolors

• Washi tape

• Pencil

• Personalized name card
